Here’s is former President Bill Clinton talking to Wolf Blitzer about the changes he’s made in his diet:

It seems that Clinton’s dietary change was sparked by his recent by-pass surgery. He says:
“I did all this research, and I saw that 82 percent of the people since 1986 who have gone on a plant-base, no dairy, no meat of any kind, no chicken, no turkey—I eat very little fish, once in a while I’ll have a little fish—If you can do it, 82 percent of people have begun to heal themselves.”
While I would argue (because I’m bitchy like that) that eating fish does not make one a vegan I say good for him. I hate labeling people by their food choices. What you eat or consider yourself is your business. I, myself, lean more towards vegan but never use that word because sometimes I’ll eat a brownie or something like that with egg in it. I don’t like to pigeon-hole myself.
Hopefully, others will see how well eating a more plant-based diet has worked for Clinton and will follow suit. There is nothing wrong with that!
Have you tried a plant-based diet? If not, do you do meatless meals every now and then?
